Lei stated that Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phone, the Xiaomi 14 series, will mark a departure from the company’s traditional MIUI operating system. The Xiaomi 14 models will be the first phones to run on HyperOS, a fusion of Android and Xiaomi’s self-developed Vela system, he said. Initially, HyperOS will be limited to Chinese versions of Xiaomi phones.
