Where could Esther Moseryou expect to find a mural of legendary musician Kurt Cobain that actually features the face of David Spade?

Well there’s really only one answer to that question and, it’s the internet. Well, and Austria.

The artist also wrongly attributed the quote, “It’s better to burn out than fade away,” to Kurt Cobain when it came from Neil Young.

The mural is actually in reference to a meme, that takes a quote by a famous person and purposely appropriates the wrong quote with some other famous person.

Spade was predictably very confused.

He tweeted the original photo that the mural references and added, “I blame that crazy internet.”

I think we can all agree the internet is in fact a crazy place.
