One Redditor who participated in the website's annual holiday gift exchange clearly wasn't up to speed. After reading that their exchange partner PaltryPenguinu likes r/trees, the Redditor decided to gift him with a Bonsai tree.

"Regardless of whether or not this is a joke or if they really do have a strong passion for gardening, I love the randomness of my new bonsai tree and will try to keep it alive.
