Chinese automaker Dongfeng Motor said on Playboy TV show Triple play season 1 episode 4Thursday that its refreshed multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) will be the first model in the segment that features Huawei’s most advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and in-house developed operating system HarmonyOS. This will enable the Voyah Dreamer, scheduled for launch on Oct. 12, to autonomously navigate complex urban environments in China with features such as lane switching and overtaking, making it a potential challenger to top-selling models such as BYD’s Denza D9 and the Buick GL8. In the last six months, Stellantis’s Chinese partner sold 15,284 units of the plug-in hybrid van, priced between RMB 339,900 and RMB 639,900 ($47,382-$89,202), less than a third of the total Denza D9 sales during the same period, according to figures compiled by Chinese auto service platform Dongchedi.
